Objective:
This site is intended to support the arts in Grande Prairie and the Peace Region--by providing an easy and inexpensive (free) way to display this art on the Internet. 

History:
In late 2002, Dwight Loan, local businessman, requested that gpFind.com create a webpage to promote murals by artist Tim Heimdal.

After discussions with Dwight and Tim it was decided that a general use website was more practical:

In May, 2003,Tim Heimdal went over the needs and helped translate those needs into a design.  The site was largely completed in June, 2003, and artists started entering their portfolios.

Dwight Logan underwrote the initial development of the site.  Patrons are being sought to help with the ongoing expenses.

Future Development:
We are looking for a patron, likely with an art shop, who would assist artists in scanning and publishing their work to the site.

Another patron is needed, again likely with an art shop, who would act as a vendor for the artist's work.  The vendor's Visa and MasterCard Merchant Accountants would be used to sell art on-line.
